He is a double board-certified plastic surgeon with particular expertise in cosmetic surgery, plastic surgery of the breast, and skin cancer reconstruction. He has won numerous teaching awards, was a residency program and fellowship director, and has presented and published his research extensively. His warm, honest, and caring bedside manner makes patients know they are in the hands of someone they can trust.

MEET DR. HALVORSON

Dr. Halvorson is thrilled to be practicing plastic surgery in Asheville after a decade in practice and teaching at UNC Chapel Hill and Brigham & Women’s Hospital / Harvard Medical School. He is a double board-certified plastic surgeon with expertise in cosmetic surgery, plastic surgery of the breast, and skin cancer reconstruction. As a member and immediate past Chair of the ASPS Comprehensive Inservice Examination Committee, Dr. Halvorson is responsible for writing part of the annual examination given to all US plastic surgery trainees and practicing plastic surgeons.
